    Basic Leadership Skills

    Welcome to a leadership skills development programme with a difference. This programme is intended to unravel your latent leadership potential, build skills that will enable you to: Introspect on your current personal style and approach to leadership. Understand the "chemistry" of high-performing teams. Learn and practice Basic Leadership Skills to motivate and energize people around you. Realize your true potenential and, thereby, that of your organization too.

    B.Com, PGDM (XLRI), Ph.D.(Madras Univ.)

    Basic Leadership Skills

    Fr. S George, S.J., currently Professor and Director of XLRI Jamshedpur, previously Dean Administration and Finance at XLRI, Jamshedpur earlier worked in XIMB as a Faculty in OB & HR Area and also was the Dean of Finance for three years. Fr. George has graduated from XLRI and completed his Ph.D. from Madras University in Transformational Leadership and its relation with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Justice. He has been teaching OB for more than 6 years and conducted many MDP programs in the area of Personality Development, Leadership, Basic Managerial Skills, and Team Buildings. He has publisheda number of research papers both in national and international journals. Fr. George is also a visiting faculty in Loyola University Maryland, US.     Prof. Sunil Kumar Sarangi

    Sunil Kumar Sarangi is currently teaching Communication and Leadership at XLRI, Jamshedpur. For five years now, he has been the ProgrammeDirector of Basic Leadership Skills (BLS), the flagship Management Development Programme of XLRI. He has over 20 years of corporate and academic experience. He holds a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature as a university gold medalist. His area of research is language, entrepreneurship, and neuro-communication. He has worked for Goldman Sachs, Oracle, Dale CarnegieIndia where got his international certification as a teacher/trainer and taught/trained for a numberof enterprises. He has designed and delivered/taught Management Development Programs [as Programme Director] and as resource faculty for: senior IFS Officers, Allied Officers of Govt of India, Central Labour Commissioners. The executives of senior management of CANARA Bank, State Bank of India, IndianOil, National Healthcare Nepal. Executives from across all levels of Societe GeneraleGlobal Solution, Bank of Baroda,Genpact, Ashok Leyland,BioQuest Global, Himalaya Drug Co, MRF, Oil India, Unicharm , NTPC, TATA Steel, JSW Steel, TATA Motors, Indian Oil, NHPC, PowerGrid, Himalaya Drug Company, Bharat Petroleum Company Ltd, KOHLER, Usha Martin etc. Last year, he deliveredsession on patient-doctor communication frame-work to an audienceof Neurologists, Neuro-psychiatrists and P.G. studentsof medical science.
